Greetings!
From the last 58^th AGM to now, plenty has happened. Not sure where to begin, but I must admit that it was a challenge that was reasonably well traversed.
 It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that our chapter stood first in the large chapter category while Kalpakkam and Bhubaneswar chapters ranked second and third respectively in 2023-24. Heartiest Congratulations to all of us for being the best large chapter for the first time in our 59^th year of journey, a great inspiration to celebrate our Diamond Jubilee in a befitting manner in 2025-26.
 I must thank each and every committee member and you the members, in helping us tide over a trying time, enduring all the hardships and achieving this great unparalleled success. I extend my special appreciation to the Honorary Secretary, who being the first in the firing line, took matters head on without succumbing to pressure and displayed true grit in the time of crisis.
Also I extend my deepest appreciation to the Vice Chairmen, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Joint Secretaries , Honorary joint Treasurer and Past Chairmen who threw in their entire might and stood firm as rocks. The contribution of each committee member was invaluable as each of them stood shoulder to shoulder, as and when required. I would like to thank all our mentors, stakeholders, sponsors, advertisers, speakers, delegates, vendors, partners and last but not the least Shri Subhojit Ghosh also.
In last six months, we pushed back a few of our plans which we wanted to implement as per our vision and calendar of activities. We would have the Bijaya Sammilani get together with an extended EC meeting in last week of October,2024.
After we return from  Bangalore  attending the 78^th ATM and getting the coveted award of Best Large Chapter for 2023-24, we have some exciting events coming up in December as follows:
Seminar on Green Steel Making
Seminar on Critical Minerals
Activation of all committees and rolling out Diamond Jubilee Celebration Plan
Shifting Chapter Office to Metal House
Completion of development of new website, https://iimkokatachapter.com with social media handles
Publication of inaugural issue of e bulletin
And many more.
